The story tells about teenagers who do not want to limit their lives to sex and drugs, but their spiritual life is painted in dark tones, they call themselves children of pain. Disillusioned with everyday reality, they hang out in cemeteries, watch films about vampires, read books about funeral rites and zombies, participate in a black mass and commit suicide. But there is a way out of gloomy hopelessness, although it does not lie in returning to the crowd, preoccupied with the race for bucks and entertainment. This is probably a book about the formation of a Personality in spite of the era, crowd and circumstances.
