About the book: 2010 / This book is about the author’s “traditional” water trips, from an inept attempt on an old kayak to the harsh “sixes”. But these are not boring reports, but short stories about unusual and sometimes life-threatening adventures. The title of the book was given by the story “Girl with an Oar” about another race for a train - hitchhiking from Moscow to Katun, with a catamaran oar, personal equipment and a layout for two weeks, but without documents; why it was not possible to catch up with the group this time and what came of it. The book also contains funny stories about working as an industrial climber and a not at all funny story about tourist friendship.
