In the first book of the novel, the crew of the T-34 “Red” tank goes through a difficult battle path from Oka to Gdansk. The author convincingly and plausibly describes large and small events from the daily front-line life of his heroes, shows how the military commonwealth and brotherhood of Polish and Soviet soldiers was born and strengthened on the difficult roads of war.
