About the book: 1965 / Anyone who read “The Star Diaries of Ijon the Quiet,” prepared for publication by the Polish writer Stanislaw Lem, undoubtedly remembered the handsome Kurdl from the planet Enteropia , which was described in Journey Fourteen. It also talked about transparent luminous ardrites - the inhabitants of this planet, and about periodic meteorite showers - stumbles that threatened all life on Enteropia. Due to stumbles, every inhabitant of the planet had a “reserve” - an exact duplicate, which, in the event of death, was used to replace the victim. Alas, Stanislav Lem is too brief in his story. We were firmly convinced that Iyon Tikhy himself paid more attention to such a wonderful animal as the curdle. And our confidence was justified. Below we publish new pages of the “Star Diaries” that were overlooked by Lem. "Knowledge is power», 1965, № 2
