About the book: 2020 / The book includes romantic folk legends collected by the writer, expert in Celtic language and literature E. V. Balobanova (1847–1927) during a trip to Brittany at the end of the 19th century. Before the revolution, these often gloomy and fatalistic legends and fantasies, imbued with deep religious feelings, went through two editions, revised by Balabanova, the second of which was illustrated by the most prominent graphic artist E. Lanceray.
