MediaDB / «NATO infantry fighting vehicles" Semyon Fedoseev: download fb2, read online
About the book: 1997 / The 1990 Paris Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe gave the following definition of an infantry fighting vehicle: "An infantry fighting vehicle is an armored fighting vehicle.. . for transporting a combat infantry squad, which usually provides the landing force with the ability to fire from a vehicle under the cover of armor and which is armed with a built-in or paid cannon of at least 20 mm caliber and sometimes an anti-tank missile launcher.” Aside from this definition, which is more legal than military-technical, an infantry fighting vehicle can be defined as a transport and combat vehicle that provides motorized infantry with the ability to move and fight in close cooperation with tanks. At the same time, we are talking about a modern battlefield, characterized by a high saturation of firepower, rapid and sudden changes in the situation.
