About the book: 1988 / Dusan Mitana (born in 1946) belongs to the young generation of Slovak writers who came to literature in the early 70s. His first book, Unlucky Days, was published in 1970, followed by Patagonia (1972) and Night News (1976). He also owns a number of scripts for television and cinema. Mitana's works were awarded literary prizes, but the novel "The End of the Game" brought wide fame to the writer, in which close attention to moral and ethical issues, characteristic of the previous works of this author, is combined with sharp irony and detective elements.
