About the book: 1959 / In the third volume of collected works from 12 volumes 1959-1961. introduces The Gilded Age, a satirical novel co-written by Mark Twain and Charles Dudley Warner (most of the chapters are written by either author, but the final chapters are co-written by the two writers). The title of the novel is an ironic rethinking of the traditional image of the Golden Age. In Russian, the novel by Twain and Warner was published for the first time in this publication.
