About the book: 2023 / A few introductory words. I'm not a writer. I'm a simple engineer, a technician. Apart from school essays and letters to his wife, he wrote nothing of this kind. My only motivation for writing autobiographical notes in chronological order was a sense of duty to share with the young people of today at least a little of what life has taught me, what I have witnessed and participated in, and the reality of which many of them now find it difficult to believe. I’m afraid that in 15–20 years, in terms of awareness of life in the Soviet period, things will be even worse.
