The course of lectures is structured mainly in accordance with the university program “Fundamentals of Scientific Atheism.” Deviations from the program concern the following. For the same reasons, the theme “Orthodox holidays and rituals” was highlighted. “Judaism” was filmed as an independent topic for two reasons: firstly, it is not a world religion (at least in modern conditions), and secondly, the authors considered it more appropriate and consistent with the historical perspective to present the issue of Judaism when considering the origins Christianity. The topic “Buddhism” was also removed due to the relatively low prevalence of this religion in the USSR.
