About the book: 2016 / Collective scientific work "Polystoria: Kings, saints, myth-makers in medieval Europe" appeared as a result of research conducted by the Laboratory medieval studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics on the problems of the history of medieval Europe - both its Latin and Orthodox parts, as well as various forms of interaction between them. The book examines a wide range of issues that were either not raised before or have not been sufficiently studied - from the peculiarities of historical anthroponymy in Kievan Rus and Scandinavia to attempts to create a “correct” picture of the past among the Western Slavs and in the Muscovite kingdom.
