The main event of the hike was the first successful ascent of Grandiozny peak in August 1955 by a group led by Alexander Krichevsky (Moscow, MISI - Moscow Civil Engineering Institute). The siege of Grandiozny lasted several days , before managing to conquer the hitherto inaccessible peak. The ascent was attended by a group consisting of Alexander Krichevsky, Pepe Luis Velo-Rodriguez, Albert Kulikovskikh, Natalya Pritvits, Tatyana Tolstokhlebova, after several days of siege and overnight stays in the Vodopadny valley and under the peak, they climbed it on August 29, folding the tour and leaving a note in it , confirming the fact of ascent. Author Natalya Pritvits, a participant in the hike, describes in detail the events in which she herself took part. This edition does not include the original illustrations found in the paper edition.
