About the book: 2021 / "Notes on Color" belong to the late period of Ludwig Wittgenstein's work and are posthumously published manuscripts, the contents of which are mainly devoted to the logic of color concepts and its linguistic and sociocultural conditionality. Traditional philosophical questions concerning the nature of visual perception are considered here from the point of view of themes important to the philosophy of the late Wittgenstein: meaning as use, language games, forms of life. A significant part of the notes is devoted to criticism of existing theories and ideas about the perception of color, based on its physical and mental nature.
