About the book: 1985 / During the Great Patriotic War, Fyodor Yakovlevich Lisitsyn was the head of the political department of the 1st, and later the 3rd shock armies. In his book, he talks about the experience of conducting party-political work in units and formations of these armies, about the courage of the soldiers, commanders and political workers who took part in the defense of Moscow, and then in a number of offensive operations. The author paid special attention to the Berlin operation, clearly and convincingly showing the courage and heroism of the Soviet soldiers who stormed the Reichstag.
