About the book: year / Most people who are attracted to permaculture are young, dreamy idealists who are looking for some system to structure your activities and give them meaning. It doesn't really matter whether the methods work because you don't have to depend on them. Their symbolic value is important. I have seen many “permaculture gardens” with appalling levels of productivity that have nonetheless convinced their creators that they are virtually self-sufficient in food. A few measurements and calculations would quickly dispel this illusion, but permasectants simply do not count.
