About the book: 2021 / Spring 1945, surroundings of Budapest. A company of soldiers was stationed in the ancient castle of the count who had fled to the West. Since it was planned to open a museum here, company commander Kirill Kondrashin was strictly ordered to preserve all the cultural values ​​of the castle, and in particular two ancient paintings: a sunny landscape with a hunting lodge and a portrait of an amazingly beautiful young woman. Closer to midnight, when the company commander was already getting ready for bed in the count’s cozy bedroom, where those very valuable paintings hung, something inexplicable began to happen. Probably it was all about the silver crucifix and medallion attached to the picture frames. They held back unknown forces that were ready to spill out of the paintings. And as soon as they were removed, the invisible line separating the centuries disappeared…
