About the book: a year / Almost half a century has passed since the beginning of the Last World War. Almost the entire population of the planet died on the first day. But a small handful of people managed to survive and hide underground: in subway tunnels, mines and many other objects that could somehow protect them from the harsh post-nuclear world. In the largest underground facilities, such as the Moscow and St. Petersburg metro, people managed not only to escape, but also to continue their existence. The stations became dwarf states that had their own power and their own laws. Some united into entire conglomerates and confederations, while others constantly fought with each other for territory and resources. But this was not the only problem for the metro residents; radiation and countless crowds of mutants were rampant on the surface and were trying to get into the metro. The defense was carried out on all fronts, and it seemed that the residents had lost all hope for a bright future, because, as they believed, there was no one else left in the world except them. But that was a mistake. There was still life in some places.
