The story is told both from the perspective of the owner, who has a cool attitude towards her husband’s pet, and from the perspective of the dog himself, who has discovered the ability to think and even judge human life. The hero of this story slowly talks about other dogs, cats and rabbits, about children growing up and the meaning of life. It is unlikely that the reader will take the side of the owner, who is intolerant of a nice and charming animal. But I hope he will at least show some sympathy for this essentially excellent woman.!
