About the book: 2008 / This study is the first in a long time attempt to propose for discussion a holistic theoretical concept of theatrical art, as it appeared, on the one hand, in the light discoveries of directing of the 20th century and, on the other hand, in the context of the paratheatrical forms born of this century and the ideas corresponding to them. If the author’s considerations provoke a discussion, this, in his opinion, will only be useful: since the book is addressed to theater scholars, directors, actors and other people, for whose own position on the fundamental issues of the theater is not a luxury, but a professional necessity, the mode of dialogue can help develop such a position or establish oneself in one’s own.
