About the book: 2012 / This book is addressed to three audiences at once - future journalists who have decided to devote themselves to science journalism, the general public and those people who do science - scientists. In fact, this is the result of almost half a century of work as a journalist writing about science and as an editor of a popular science and art magazine. The title of the book, “Scientific journalism as an integral part of the knowledge and skills of any scientist,” did not arise by chance. This was the name of the course of lectures that the author of the book read over the past ten years in different countries and in different languages. “It is in the inability of people of science to express themselves in a form that is understandable and interesting to others that lies one of the main reasons for the current disunity between science and society,” he believed. The book is illustrated with engravings by Maurits Cornelis Escher, the author’s favorite artist.
