About the book: 1937 / Many Christian workers and students of the Bible Institute (at home) asked us to publish a book that would present in an accessible form the controversial issues arising around the Bible . The idea met with our complete sympathy, since the times we were living through brought to the fore the need for justified resistance to atheism, but the task turned out to be not easy, because it was completely impossible to collect the necessary materials from Russian sources. There were no such people abroad at all. Therefore, in many cases it was necessary to resort to citing the works of English and other European scientists.
