About the book: 1993 / The main character of this book (as always, handsome, superman, lover of ketch) at one point rereads “a detective story with a very soft plot, if take into account that on page eleven there is only the fifth murder.” So “Women Can’t Understand” is an action movie with a very soft plot, if you take into account that in the scene, for example, of a double rape, the good characters are, in fact, rapists, and towards the end of the novel the reader almost greets with applause, let’s say, a deliberate and the not-so-necessary infliction of severe injury on a woman. Lots of violence, lots of sex (and it’s hard to separate them from each other), fierce opposition between straight people and homosexuals, righteous indignation against drugs and the people who use them.
