The first works of Alexander Boryansky began to appear in the press and collective collections from the late eighties and early nineties. The ironically surreal story “The Return of the Prophetic Oleg,” co-written with Sergei Kozlov and published in one of the Leningrad literary fanzines, did not become the discovery of the year, but made me remember this name. The authors were still far from reaching any literary heights, but a certain potential was already felt in this text, written easily, sometimes even too loosely.
