How the simplest people reacted to these changes and how they affected their lives. The book has two storylines. One tells about how a young Muscovite, in search of his beloved girl, ends up in a distant northern village, where his life from uncertain and boring in Moscow turns into interesting and meaningful in this village. The heroine of the second storyline, on the contrary, leaves this village for Moscow as a bride, but does not find the expected happiness. The events are original. The book continues.
