About the book: 2015 / This publication is devoted to the counterintelligence activities of the Soviet Navy in the Great Patriotic War. The team of authors made an attempt to critically comprehend, summarize and compare the information contained in regulatory documents, materials of current records management, captured documents, archival criminal and personal files. As a result of the study, it was possible to create a fairly objective picture of the activities of naval counterintelligence, show its role in ensuring the security of the USSR Navy, its place in the system of Soviet intelligence services, trace its institutional development, and highlight the most significant achievements and mistakes. The appendix provides a list of naval counterintelligence officers who died during the Great Patriotic War.
