About the book: 2006 / The events described in this book begin on the first day of the nineteenth century, and end on the last day of the twentieth. Historical chapters in it are interspersed with the biography of the main character, who was born in Russia, lived in Lithuania and Poland, participated in all the wars of Israel, traveled all over the world, but ultimately got lost somewhere in the heavenly corridors. All this happens against the backdrop of Russian and Jewish history, where politicians act (from Catherine the Great and Senator Derzhavin to Ben Gurion, Khrushchev and Yeltsin), as well as rabbis, revolutionaries, gendarmes, scientists, lawyers, security officers, swindlers and various other characters.
