About the book: 2014 / The novel by the classic of socialist realism, Russian Soviet writer Alexander Georgievich Malyshkin (1892–1938) recreates the revolutionary events of 1917 in the Black Sea Fleet. Using the example of the main character Sergei Shelekhov, against the backdrop of great historical changes, the author traces the fate of a leading intellectual, a young naval officer, his painful and difficult overcoming of the remnants of the old worldview and ultimately his coming to the revolution, to the rebellious people.
