About the book: 2014 / The book critically examines some persistent myths that have been included not only in memoirs, but also in modern scientific literature. In particular, the idle speculation of the opposition of the Vlasov formations regarding the SS and non-participation in war crimes is refuted. Also, on the basis of previously unpublished materials, the history of the practically unstudied White Crosses battalion, which fought as part of the 9th Army of the Wehrmacht, is recreated. The author significantly complements the history of various collaborationist formations (1st RNA of Boris Holmston-Smyslovsky, RONA of Bronislav Kaminsky, ROA of Andrei Vlasov). In particular, unknown meetings between Vlasov and Ataman Krasnov are reconstructed, letters from General Bunyachenko are given.
