Yeltsin, and in the planning of “perestroika”, and in coordinating this policy with the West; - Beria’s victory. Yeltsin in the confrontation with the State Emergency Committee in August 1991 was provided with his support from the security forces: the KGB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Soviet Army.
