About the book: 2018 / Zorro is one of those dogs who are trained to be bloodhounds from early childhood. He is obedient, quiet, extremely attentive - and most importantly, he can smell a person even in a deep forest. Or under thick snow. For Zorro, saving those in trouble is not only work, but also pleasure. And the first person to express gratitude to the dog was Luka, a 19-year-old snowboarder who was covered in an avalanche one ill-fated day. Luka is not only grateful to Zorro - looking at his daily exploits, the guy decides to change his life and become a professional Alpine Aid volunteer. And for this he needs his own four-legged companion. Puppy Pappy from the dog shelter can become it. There, at the shelter, Luka meets an amazing girl, Marie, but it is so difficult to find a common language with her! And only Zorro helps to do this. The stories of Zorro, Luka and Marie are intertwined in a striking way, revealing to the reader the psychology of each character - including the dog. The story by Italian writer Paola Zannoner (born 1958) is equally interesting for teenagers and adults. In her homeland, she won several major literary awards: Castello (2016), Bancarellino (2015), Asti d'Appello Junior (2017). The story “Zorro in the Snow” is modern, frank and truthful: it’s easy to recognize your friends in the characters, but not every friend talks in such detail about the invisible sides of life. However, not every friend can tell something: a rescue dog, for example, is forced to remain silent - Paola Zannoner corrects this injustice.
