Born into the family of a traveling postman, in early childhood he was left without a mother, lived and was raised in the family of his uncle - V.V. Reshetnikov, an official of the post office in Perm. This publication includes selected works of the Russian writer Fyodor Mikhailovich Reshetnikov (1841-1871), among whose story “Podlipovtsy” is about the hard life of Perm peasants and Kama barge haulers, the stories “Nikola Znamensky”, “Aunt Oparina”, “Essays on the life of the wagon train”. The second volume of the publication includes the novels "The Glumovs" and "Where is it better?" about the fate of the working class of Russia in the 19th century.
