About the book: 2024 / In Russian, the New Testament has existed for almost two centuries, the complete Bible for one and a half centuries, and in the last couple of decades several new translations have been published and continue new ones appear. Another one - why is it? First, a translation of the New Testament Epistles appeared on my website. I made it simply because none of the existing Russian translations suited me. I remember very well how I first became acquainted with the New Testament epistles, as a student of the initial courses of the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University. I willingly read a variety of books according to the program and just like that, including ancient texts, but here... almost all the words and expressions were clear to me, but what the text was talking about remained a mystery.
