He was also the leading actor. Svetlana Kryuchkova made her debut in the role of Lyuba. The author considers this performance to be the best she has ever seen. Ilya Averbakh made a two-part television film based on this play. It took place in almost all the theaters of the country and was widely shown abroad, thereby opening the way for both the previous and subsequent works of the author. This story happened in provincial Ochakovo - with an elderly mother and her two adult daughters. The eldest, Shurochka, works as a teacher at a music school. He met Shurochka at the name day of Bedkhudov, her lover, fell in love with her and is now asking for her hand in marriage.
