About the book: 2021 / St. Petersburg. Our days. The main character is waiting for a girl from another city to visit and is desperately trying to change before her arrival. He starts running in the morning, hysterically cleaning the apartment, planning a trip to the theater together. Taking wishful thinking, he is unable to discern the true state of affairs and his role in all these events. Pursuing his main motive of “break away from reality and live in a dream,” he leads himself to a terrifying ending.
