About the book: 1969 / The author of the book "Doctors", American writer and sociologist Martin L. Gross, examines in detail the most diverse aspects of the medical care system in USA. The book is documentary. Gross refers to medical journals, cites hundreds of articles, and uses personal meetings and interviews with medical professionals. Sixteen pages of this impressive volume are taken up by a list of used articles. Martin Gross begins the book by saying that his goal is not to destroy the reputation of the American doctor. Nevertheless, the conclusions he himself comes to are not very optimistic: the medical care system in the United States requires very big changes. We offer our readers several excerpts from the book by M. L. Gross. Magazine "Science and Life", No. 2, 1969, p.. 86-89
