About the book: 2005 / Tatyana Kirillovna Okunevskaya (1914–2002) is a wonderful Russian film actress, whose creative peak was in the 30s and 40s. The films in which she played (“Pyshka”, “Hot Days”, “Alexander Parkhomenko”) became classics of our cinema. She had everything a young woman could dream of. Pictures with her participation won the hearts of millions of moviegoers. Crowds of admiring fans accompanied every step of the actress. The powers that be gave her their attention, hinting at more... And suddenly everything collapsed overnight. Okunevskaya, like many of her contemporaries, fell under the millstone of Stalin’s repressions: trumped-up charges of espionage, interrogations, a camp, and then long, painful years of oblivion. But life did not break the actress. And in her memoirs, she spoke about her difficult, ambiguous fate, connecting it with the fates of those whose lot it fell to live in that dramatic time - both to survive and to remain human. Tatiana Okunevskaya. Tatyana's day. Vagrius Publishing House. Moscow. 2005.
