About the book: 1968 / "Riders from Nowhere" (the first book of the trilogy) - a fantasy novel about the appearance on Earth of mysterious pink "clouds" that turn out to be guests from space. Members of the Soviet Antarctic expedition meet them for the first time and immediately encounter many inexplicable phenomena: the “clouds” remove the ice cover of Antarctica, transport it into outer space, and reproduce any atomic structures, including people. The heroes of the novel meet their doubles, with a duplicated airliner, and travel in a simulated city. World science is not clear for what purpose earthly life is modeled. All attempts to contact the aliens end in failure. In addition to the novel, the collection includes three science fiction stories and the story “Eyes of the Century” about a journey into the past of modern Soviet people.
