About the book: 2021 / Here's a New Year's miracle for you! Artem glanced at the green tree that he had just dragged into the house. A beautiful spruce - smooth, fluffy, with cones. The real ones, not the plastic ones. And it smells great - resin and pine needles. True, instead of snow or frost, large drops of water hang from the needles. And this is not melted snow, as it should be a week before the New Year, but rain. Torrential rain, in which he was soaked to the skin while dragging the prickly beauty from the market to the car, and then to the porch of the house. And nothing, as they say, foreshadowed it! The forecasts were the most optimistic. They promised a miracle in the form of snow, at least wet, and light frost, at least close to zero. The miracle did not happen. The aunts and uncles from TV smiled embarrassedly and hinted that some kind of front was about to retreat, and another would bring snow, frost, and a New Year's mood. At first Artem believed them, hoped and waited. I didn’t even buy a Christmas tree until recently, although I knew that the closer to the holiday, the higher the prices. And this morning, while having breakfast under yet another weather forecast, I decided that there was nothing more to hope for. You can deceive yourself as much as you like, but miracles don’t happen. Shouldn’t he know?!
