About the book: 2020 / Over the past ten years, Russia has perfected the methods of “hybrid warfare,” using cyber assets to attack and neutralize political opponents. Government hackers hack into computers and phones to gather intelligence, disseminate that intelligence (or false intelligence) through the media, create a scandal, and thereby throw an opponent or nation out of business. Russia attacked Estonia, Ukraine and Western countries using precisely these cyber warfare methods. At some point, Russia apparently decided to use these tactics against the United States, and so American democracy itself was hacked.
