About the book: 2016 / Sverdlovsk rock music is a significant phenomenon of Soviet and Russian culture. This rock encyclopedia includes the stories of the most outstanding Sverdlovsk bands. This includes groups that participated in rock club festivals, as well as iconic groups that worked at a time when festivals were not yet (or no longer) held. This publication is the second part of Dmitry Karasyuk’s book about the history of Sverdlovsk rock. The first part is called “The History of Sverdlovsk Rock 1961–1991. From “Elmash’s Beatles” to “Semantic Hallucinations.” Both parts were published simultaneously.
