For eight months, the Provisional Government tried to improve the economy, change relations between people, while holding back the onslaughts from the right and left, and led military operations on the fronts of the First World War. Sometimes it seemed like it was fighting with itself. As a result, the Government was overthrown by the Bolsheviks, and the Constituent Assembly, which was supposed to elect the leaders of Russia and adopt the Constitution, practically never took place.
