However, this is not at all true. February - October 1917 were one of the most tragic moments in Russian history, associated not only with revolutionary changes and a huge number of characters, but also with the collapse of the dream of a liberal democratic society, the consequences of which must be studied and analyzed. For eight months, the Provisional Government tried to improve the economy, change relations between people, while holding back the onslaughts from the right and left, and led military operations on the fronts of the First World War. Sometimes it seemed like it was fighting with itself. As a result, the Government was overthrown by the Bolsheviks, and the Constituent Assembly, which was supposed to elect the leaders of Russia and adopt the Constitution, practically never took place.
