About the book: 1994 / The novel by Odessa writer Rodion Fedenev "De Ribas" is dedicated to the life and fate of one of the founders of Odessa and covers the last thirty years of the 18th century. It reflects many events of that time, in which the main character of the work actively participates. His biography suggested the author the form of the novel. This is a historical adventure work. Letters, archival materials, excerpts from diaries, military reports concerning the hero’s stay in Russia, and which the author widely uses, are entirely documentary.
