About the book: 1981 / Tamara Velichkovskaya (1908–1990), - Poet, novelist, journalist, dancer, “singer of the first wave” of Russian emigration. She wrote poetry and prose. After World War II she settled in Paris. Velichkovskaya wrote poetry since childhood, but began publishing at the age of about forty. Her poems were included in the anthologies “In the West”, “Muse of the Diaspora”, and the collections “Relay Race”, “Commonwealth”. She performed reading her poems at the evenings of the Association of Young Poets (1947–1948), the International Circle of Friends of Art (1954), and the Union of Russian Writers and Journalists in Paris (since 1955). She published collections of poems in Paris, “The White Staff” (1952) and “Flower and Stone” (1981). Author of essays on the history of Paris, about Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, D.S. Merezhkovsky and others. She was published in the magazines “Housewarming”, “Renaissance”, “New Journal”, “Sovremennik”, the newspaper “Russian Thought”, etc. She had a literary circle, which was attended by N. Rovskaya, A. Velichkovsky, S. Rafalsky, K. Pomerantsev. V. Dobrokhotov. More famous poets also came - G. Ivanov, I. Odoevtseva. S. Makovsky. This electronic edition fully reproduces the second, final collection of poems by Tamara Velichkovskaya “Flower and Stone” (Paris, 1981). The book was digitized in the capital of the Donetsk People's Republic.
