About the book: 2023 / A collection of poems and songs written by the author for the eightieth anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. The operation to capture Moscow began on September 30, 1941 and was called “Typhoon”. 10-12 weeks before the start of winter, the Germans planned to take the capital, destroy the population or drive it to Germany. Life in Moscow had to stop, the city had to be destroyed. To prevent these plans from being realized, the Soviet people had to make colossal efforts. The author describes events as if on behalf of its direct participants: their experiences, choices, details of circumstances and surroundings. This creates the effect of immersion in the atmosphere of those days, which allows us to put ourselves in the shoes of these people. The book is the sixth in a series of books written by the author under the general title “Historical Milestones of Valor and Glory of Russia».
