About the book: 1982 / Emil Manov is a modern Bulgarian writer, people's cultural figure of the People's Republic of Belarus. The heroes of his works defend the high ideals of communist morality, fight against philistinism, inertia and falsehood. In the novel “Travel to Uibrobia,” Manov, using material and some techniques of the English satirist Swift, author of “Gulliver’s Travels,” creates his original work, which shows in grotesque fantastic sketches the life of society under dictatorial fascist regimes, as well as the ugly forms of Western “democracy” "and the "cultural revolution" in China.
